Age Backward with PRP!

What is PRP and what does it do?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) therapy uses your own blood to stimulate healing, collagen production and tissue regeneration. It’s commonly used in aesthetics for skin rejuvenation and hair restoration, and in medicine for joint, tendon, and ligament injuries.

How Long does it last?

This often depends on what you are hoping to achieve or treat. For example, if you are using PRP to fill in under eye hollows and boost overall radiance, most patients complete at least 2 sessions 6 weeks apart.

However, larger areas or areas prone to showing signs of aging may require additional sessions to achieve desired results. Once you do so, most can move to maintenance sessions as needed or on an annual or biannual basis to maintain results over time.

How long is the down time?

The most common side effects of PRP are injection site swelling and bruising, but there are steps you  can take to minimize these effects. Most people require very minimal to no downtime.

Estimated Cost of Service?

injectable PRP starts at $250 for a small area, such as eyes or smile lines, and increases by size of area treated. Discounts on package sessions available.

What Does PRP Treat?

Years ago, the Kardashians helped coin the  phrase "Vampire Facelift". This entails an intense session of microneedling or laser, followed by applying PRP to the treatment area much like a serum. This promotes rapid wound healing, collagen synthesis, and a more youthful complexion. PRP is used in aesthetics to treat dull, lack luster skin, hyperpigmentation, scars, stretch marks, saggy skin, and helps to revolumize areas depleted of collagen.

BUT, it is also used to treat:

   * Hair loss or thinning by stimulating follicles

   * Wounds or burns

   * Injured joints by stimulating accelerated healing

How Is It Administered?

Typically, PRP is:

1. Injected - face, neck, scalp, joints

2. Cannulated - face , neck

3. Applied topically like a serum** - face, neck, body, scalp

** Must be combined with something like microneedling or laser to create controlled wounding
